Hardware Security Module with PQC

What

Hardware Security Modules protect cryptographic keys in tamper-resistant hardware. Banks use them for transactions, CAs for root keys, governments for classified material. The quantum transition requires HSMs supporting post-quantum algorithms: generating Kyber and Dilithium keys, performing PQC signatures, storing both classical and PQC keys during hybrid operation. Integration with Tropos QRNG ensures HSM-generated keys have maximum quantum entropy.

Why

HSMs protect the most sensitive keys. Compromising an HSM is catastrophic. The quantum transition must preserve HSM security while adding PQC support through firmware updates and FIPS certification.

Impact

Financial institutions using HSMs for payments, certificate authorities protecting root keys, government classified key management, cloud HSM services, blockchain custody - all need quantum-safe HSMs.

Use Cases

Payment network transaction signing, root CA key protection, government classified keys, cloud HSM services with PQC, cryptocurrency custody
