Hodos (QNu Labs Post-Quantum Cryptography Platform)

What

Hodos is QNu Labs' implementation of NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography - the math-based quantum-resistant algorithms. While our Armos product uses quantum physics for key distribution, Hodos uses advanced mathematics that quantum computers can't crack. It implements CRYSTALS-Kyber (FIPS 203) for key exchange and CRYSTALS-Dilithium (FIPS 204) for digital signatures - the primary algorithms NIST selected after eight years of global cryptographic competition. Hodos also supports FALCON and SPHINCS+ for specialized use cases. The platform provides APIs so you can integrate post-quantum crypto into your applications without becoming a cryptography expert. It supports hybrid mode, combining classical and post-quantum algorithms during the transition period for backward compatibility. Critically, Hodos integrates with Tropos QRNG - all cryptographic keys benefit from true quantum randomness, not software-generated pseudo-randomness. This addresses a vulnerability in many PQC implementations that use weak random number generators.

Why

NIST spent eight years evaluating 82 algorithms before standardizing Kyber and Dilithium. These aren't experimental - they're production-ready algorithms that will protect the internet for decades. Organizations need implementations that are FIPS-compliant, well-tested, and easy to integrate. That's what Hodos provides.

Impact

Hodos enables quantum-safe authentication and encryption without requiring quantum hardware or dedicated fiber like QKD does. For enterprise applications, cloud services, and distributed systems, PQC through Hodos provides practical quantum security you can deploy today. The hybrid mode means you can protect against quantum threats while maintaining compatibility with systems that haven't upgraded yet.

Use Cases

Securing enterprise applications and microservices, protecting VPN and remote access, implementing quantum-safe APIs and web services, blockchain and cryptocurrency signatures, IoT device authentication, secure messaging platforms, cloud security services, hybrid classical-quantum cryptography
