Tropos is QNu Labs' quantum random number generator - a hardware device that produces 100 million truly random bits per second from quantum physics. It works by measuring photon arrival times from a semiconductor laser. When exactly a photon is emitted and detected is determined by quantum mechanics and is fundamentally unpredictable - not just hard to predict with current knowledge, but impossible even in principle.
