QNu Labs Powers India’s 1,000 Km Quantum Network

The Economic Times reported that India completed a 1,000 km secure quantum communication milestone under the National Quantum Mission, a landmark for the country's quantum-safe infrastructure. The achievement proved long-distance quantum key distribution over real-world fibre, a critical step toward a national quantum-secure backbone. QNu Labs is central to the effort, having built inter-city QKD networks independently validated in operational conditions. The milestone strengthens sovereign secure communications for government, defence, and enterprise, and sets up further expansion of the network. It places India among the few nations proving quantum communications at scale, with QNu's ARMOS platform and QShield stack underpinning the transition to quantum-resilient encryption, and marks one of India's most visible proofs of sovereign quantum capability to date.
